Photography Sessions in Downtown Bethlehem
Hi Friends!
As you already know, I shoot sessions all over the Lehigh Valley! My location guide provides you with a number of suggestions of places we can hold a session depending on the look and feel you want your photos to have. However, today I want to focus on historic downtown Bethlehem, one of my very favorite places to shoot. Here are three reasons I love Bethlehem for any type of photo session:
Bethlehem is beautiful in every season.
Whether the spring blooms are just budding or the gorgeous autumn leaves are falling, historic Bethlehem shines in every season. It’s especially gorgeous during the winter when it’s dressed up to live up to its name, “The Christmas City.” My absolute favorite time to shoot there is during golden hour in the summer. As the sun sets in the west we capture some of the best warm glowing photos amidst the stone, brick, and leafy backgrounds.
There are a multitude of backgrounds and textures to choose from!
Speaking of backgrounds, historic Bethlehem offers the widest variety of background options for us to use for your photos. Do you like stone work? There are stone walls and gorgeous stone staircases for us to pose on. Is brick or cobblestone more your speed? Bethlehem features cobblestone streets and plenty of brick paths and buildings. Do you like the look of nature mixed with some urban features? Bethlehem has that, too! From wrought iron fences to funky herringbone doorways, there are options that appeal to everyone’s background taste.
All of my favorite spots are located within a small radius of each other.
Whether you’re pushing a stroller, allowing your toddler to walk independently, maneuvering a wheelchair, or corralling a large family, historic downtown Bethlehem features many lovely areas to shoot within a short distance of each other. Often we “park” our stuff in a central location and then branch out to pose and shoot in several spots within feet of our starting point. As a mom of four kiddos myself, I know how challenging it can be just to get everyone to the session location dressed and on time. It’s a huge bonus and one less challenge when the places to pose are conveniently located near one another and historic downtown Bethlehem accomplishes this beautifully.
I hope you enjoy this collection of photos all taken in Bethlehem and maybe you’ll consider selecting this location for our next session together!
