Hi friends!

Today I am excited to share an interview I had with one of my recent clients. Meet Megan! She’s a mom of two girls, former teacher and current PhD student, and an all around incredible person. Have you ever met someone who just radiates light and has a super positive energy? That’s Megan!

I can’t wait to share the details of our conversation together. As much as I love telling you about what I pride myself on offering to my clients, it’s different when you hear it from someone who has had an experience with EK Photography. Without further ado, here’s my interview with Megan:

What kind of sessions have you had with EK Photography?

An "announcement" session and professional headshots.

What were you looking for in a photographer and what made you choose EK Photography for your session?

I reached out to EK Photography originally because I was looking for a photographer who wouldn't mind entertaining a creative vision that I had for an atypical photo session. I wanted to celebrate the recent completion of my doctoral proposal, which marked the "beginning of the end" of my doctoral student journey, by announcing it like a pregnancy announcement! I liked that EK's social media and website offered a variety of shots from families to individuals, plus I was drawn in by her photographer bio. It seemed to me she might be open to something creative like this, and after speaking to her via email, I was certain she was the right fit!

What were your expectations when booking a session in regards to client experience? Did EK Photography meet or exceed your expectations?

I was hoping for a fun experience where the photographer took the lead with making my vision come to life. I was hoping to find someone who would be just as enthusiastic about my idea and recent accomplishment as I was, and Elizabeth was exactly that person! She loved the idea for my photo shoot from the start, was upfront with me on what she would provide and what I could bring along for props, and absolutely made my dream work. This made me excited to book her again for a professional headshot mini-session where she delivered the same professionalism, enthusiasm, and gorgeous shots all in ten minutes!!

What were you most surprised by in your experience with EK Photography?

I was most pleasantly surprised by the amount of communication I received from EK Photography leading up to my shoot and the level of detail that these communications provided. EK's guides to a photo shoot were extremely informative, from what to wear, to what to expect, to the timing of the shoots. I can especially see how these guides would be particularly helpful for families who are preparing for pictures and I plan on coming back in the summer- once I've graduated- with my family!

Would you recommend EK Photography to others? Why or why not?

I would absolutely recommend EK Photography to others, and I have already! Many of my graduate friends were delighted by the way my proposal announcement session came out, and it made them consider booking EK for one of their own. In addition, I'm proudly displaying my updated headshot wherever possible, which feels great since I'll be reentering the paid labor market again soon. Elizabeth is an authentic, passionate person who I'm so fortunate to have found right in the Lehigh Valley. EK Photography is a gem of a local business!
