The Value of Prints
Though we live in a digital age, there is so much value and importance in printed images. Children love to see photos of themselves around the house (there have been studies done that prove this is beneficial to their development), grandma loves having a new photo to proudly display in her kitchen, and fond memories come flooding back to couples when they see their wedding picture in their living room. I believe in displaying family memories and photographs as much as I believe in capturing them. Investing in high-quality prints is so important as they have the power to ensure your memories last for generations to come.
Something I truly love about the home I live in now are the pictures of my family hanging on the wall. Printing and displaying these images reminds me daily how precious my children were at every age and how quickly they are growing and changing!
One of my favorite images in my house hangs above my husband’s computer. It was taken by my photographer friend and colleague of the six of us the first summer we blended our family and moved in together. The kids behaved so well throughout the session and they requested a silly photo at the end. We couldn’t turn them down because they’d done so awesomely to that point. The silly photo we took wound up being our very favorite because it showcases each of the children and their personalities at the stage they were in (check it out below!). We printed it on a big canvas and hung it in the office for a daily reminder that, at the end of the day, we love each other and love being goofy together. These are the memories that last a lifetime and the ones I hope you too will display in your home.
When you receive your gallery from me, I make it super easy to preserve your memories in prints. Here is some insight into the process:
Step 1: Receive your Gallery
After the session is complete and your images are edited, I will email you a link to your gallery where there will be plenty of images to choose from.Step 2: Select Your Favorites
You can easily select your favorite images from the gallery and download them. Once you’ve downloaded the photos the watermark will be removed from the images.Step 3: Order Prints & Additional Photos
If you’d like, you can order additional digitals or print products. Simply click on the image you’d like to purchase as a digital or print, then click on “buy photo” in the top right-hand corner. You then have the option to select a package of products or individual items. (To note: purchasing a package is more cost-effective than purchasing individual products!) Make your selections and then click “add to cart.”
Some things to keep in mind:
If you purchase the full gallery of digitals, you will receive an email with a link to download the gallery. The link will work for as long as your gallery is active so be sure to download your digitals within the “active” window on your gallery. The expiration date for your gallery will be noted in the original email from Shootproof telling you your gallery is ready to view.
Though you are the only person permitted to download the free digitals in your package, you can share the gallery link with friends and family and they can purchase digitals and products that ship directly to their homes.
Please remember to credit your photographer on social media and share the photos as you received them. This means you are not permitted to place a filter, crop, or otherwise make edits to the photos!
The best part of ordering through my photolab is that I review each and every order to be sure it's perfect before the lab begins processing it. This helps to ensure that you are receiving THE BEST quality for the images you have already invested in. You can view the images below to see the comparison in prints between a third-party vendor and my photo lab. If there is an issue with any product you’ve ordered, we can work together to correct it, whereas I do not have that ability through a third party (IE Walgreens, CVS, Costco, etc..).
Your photos are an investment, your prints should be as well! Preserve your gorgeous, high-quality photos by avoiding low-quality prints. Invest in beautiful prints that will be displayed for generations to come.
